April 2024, student members of the Fisk Wesley Foundation had the opportunity to attend a retreat In Buchanan, TN. Our theme for this year's retreat was, learning to talk to God!
Over the course of the weekend students to talk to and listen to God through various mediums such scribble prayers, silent prayers, prayer bracelets, and written prayers. We also spent time in larger group devotion and individual quiet resting time. This time allowed students to reprieve from the stresses associated with school & the school environment, and build community with one another and God.
Overall it was a wonderful retreat and where our ministry grew stronger, our students were able to bond with one another and God, and we all were able to enjoy the beauty of God's creation in a new time and space.
