New Year Means More Ministry!

Starting the year off right!

It’s Official, the school year has begun! First year students have been settled in their dorms and returning students have made their way back to campus. We are elated to see all the smiling faces back on campus, are excited as we look at the possibilities that this school year will hold.

The Wesley Foundation we are excited to table at the upcoming Fisk University Student Organization Fair! We will be ready to meet students, fully stocked with stickers and Tiny Jesuses!

With all this excitement, Fisk Wesley already has some exciting ministry happenings going on. We are excited to announce that in partnership with Clark Memorial United Methodist Church, this year we will hire two Fisk Wesley students as Children’s Church interns. The students will help to coordinate the Children’s worship programing for the Church, along with teaching Children’s church in rotation with other Church volunteers. We are excited to announce that the students we will be hiring as interns are Sadia Sincere and Jada Sibley!

When asked about What they are looking forward in their New Roles, Jada said

“ I am excited to watch and help the little humans learn more and grow spiritually! Oh and i’m also excited to make crafts!”- Jada Sibley

What’s New at Fisk Wesley this Year?

As we head into the month of September we are excited to begin a new Thursday program we are calling Campus Corner. every Thursday afternoon, our campus Minister, Ms. Tatayana Richardson will spend a few hours on the Quad or in the Caf. welcoming students to stop by the campus couch or pull up a seat at a table inside and ask any questions they like or just chat for a bit. As the semester unfolds our hope is that that this program will allow us to connect more broadly with students from all walks of life.

We have already had two successful campus corners chalked full of great conversations and excitement about the new year

The year already off to a great start and we can’t wait to see what else God has in store for us over the next few months!
